Cinkate will spend approximately 15% of revenue in pre-clinical and clinical R&D in 2006.  Cinkate provides both pre-clinical and clinical research support for Cinkate scientists and investigators in academic institutions as they develop the promising pipeline of activities listed below. Additionally, Cinkate supports the work of young clinical investigators and in 2004 established a fund for young clinical scholars in China to travel abroad.

• Phase III Use of Airohua® (Leflunomide) in the Treatment of Proliferative Lupus Nephritis.
• Phase III Use of Airohua® (Lefluonomide) in the Control of Renal Allograft Rejection.
• Phase III trial of novel anti cancer drug starting fourth quarter 2006
• Bioequivalence study of Hydroxymethyl Chloroquine starting third quarter 2006

Pre-clinical

• Treatment of Side Effects of Leflunomide with Pyrimidine Replacement Therapy.
• Topical use of leflunomide for dermatological diseases.
• Anti viral uses of leflunomide.
• Development of parenteral formulation of leflunomide.

Cinkate is involved in discussions or negotiations with other companies in North America and Europe regarding potential collaborative development of pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

In the past year Cinkate has set up a laboratory in Pudong for chemical analysis, synthesis studies and formulation workshop with plans to expand this facility over the next five years.
